Day Three

Time flew since we reached here. They say the friends you make in your childhood are the truest and the simplest of friends. I believed in to some extent. But now I am a walking example of that saying. The girl I first met on my school bus, and HATED, became my best friend. And though distance separated us, we kept in touch; sometimes knowing very little o each other's life, but never losing the love for each other.

And now that I am in Delhi, I have been staying with her for three days. She is happily married now, and I am staying with her in-laws, who have also accepted me and my fiance into their lives, like we have known each other all our lives.

I leave this afternoon, as my house hunting has come to an end and I have found a roof for ourselves in the vast Capital of India. We are moving out of my friend's house today, and it is not without a heavy heart.

for the last three days, I have had a ball; from chatting, to watching TV with the family and drinking, to pulling each other's legs... it's been a family time. Today I am leaving and it is not without a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my friend and my extended family.

I wont say Thank You to her, coz then I would be insulting my childhood, the memories and last but not the least, our friendship.

These three initial days in the Capital wouldn't have been so happening, had I not stayed with her.

Today I move towards a new life and a new home, but this is always remain one of my favorite memories.
